Wisdom Vs. World

Another name for wisdom is Jesus. Jesus is the mystery of God, hidden from
the world before its beginning. There is the ‘wisdom’ of the world that
cannot explain even the beginning of the earth or it’s workings and there is
the ‘wisdom’ of God that created the earth and everything in and around it
(John 1). That design declares a designer seems more than scientific, but
revelation makes it more than clear (Genesis 1:1). However, there are those
who reject both in favor of their own subjective theories, “The fool said in
his own heart, there is no God”. Some go further and consider themselves
god (notice the small ‘g’). While reading Romans chapters one through three
- discovering current events, you will not be surprised to see what happens
to those who presume to be wise in their own eyes and choose to reject the
revealed truth of God. To them the Word of God, Jesus the Lord, and the gift
of the Holy Spirit, the written word, are not wisdom but foolishness. They
are blind leading the blind … They believe in self and reject evidence even
as they repeatedly bang their heads against the proverbial wall.
Those who accept Christ as Lord are called by him “friends” (John 15:15).
To them he says, “For all things that I have heard of my Father I have made
known unto you”. That is revelation, that is scripture, and that is the word of
God. You can trust the Bible for wisdom, for righteous living, for
specialness, and for redemptive power (1 Corinthians 1:30). In it you can
glory and rejoice but not in self-aggrandizement. That is the conduct of the
world while Christ promises to glorify the humble and destroy the proud
look. He said, “It is appointed for man to die and then be judged”. You and I
agree that the death part is true for all die. It is my faith that the judgement
part is also true. What does your wisdom tell you? Do all people die? Do all
people face judgement? Perhaps more than 50% of God’s word is accurate!
