Wise persons want to improve and so do you, otherwise you would not be
reading. It may be that you are more-wise than other-wise, so give yourself
credit and keep inquiring. Here is a word from scripture that can impact your
life and the lives of your family and friends. I’ve shared this scripture with
some who have rejected it and with a few who have enjoyed progress, success,
and happiness. Here it is: “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple” (Psalms 19:7). The
Hebrew word in this text is ‘mashib’, which was translated, ‘giving life to the
soul’. This is what you and I need each morning, more than coffee. New life,
power for the day, and conversion from who we are to becoming who we
aught to be! The Old Testament law and the New Testament testimony give us
insight into the possibilities and our power so that we can become a blessing
while visiting in this world. Being sincere in our Bible application guarantees
strength for the changes that we need to make (1 John 4:4). The strength that
our Lord provides by the Holy Spirit as he calls to mind the teaching and deeds
of Jesus. Jesus’s example empowers our spirit to imitate him. After all, he is
the only fit example for anyone to emulate and the only overcomer of evil
ever. Having been tempted in all points, like we are, yet not sinning proves that
it can be done, only with the help of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
That Spirit that transforms everyone beginning at baptism (Acts 2:38) and
being daily renewed (Acts 3:19) until we are caught up to be with Christ
himself. No matter our plight as we journey along our daily routine we can
reach into our spiritual mind and discover the solution to every problem.
Knowing that every problem has a solution when you are personally involved
with the designer, creator, and sustainer. Read John chapter one verses one
through fourteen and begin to be recreated.
